At Newsoras, our editorial mission is non-negotiable: to provide news with integrity, independence, and accuracy. These same values define our management of your personal data. We understand that privacy is a prerequisite for freedom of expression and the consumption of quality information. This Privacy Statement details how we collect, use, protect, and transfer your information, in strict compliance with Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law No. 25.326, the regulations of the Public Information Access Agency (AAIP), and the highest international standards of informational transparency.
1. Data Controller and Contact Information.
The controller of your personal data is Newsoras Media Group S.A. (hereinafter, "Newsoras" o "Us")

Newsoras guarantees that all its databases (readers, subscribers, employees, and suppliers) are duly registered in the National Registry of Personal Databases, in accordance with Articles 3 and 21 of Law 25.326.
2. Information We Collect.
Following principles of transparency and data minimization, we classify the information we process into three distinct categories, based on the source and nature of the interaction.
2.1. Information you provide to us (Direct Interaction). Occurs when you actively interact with our digital services.
Subscription Data: Full name, email address, password (encrypted), and, in the case of paid subscriptions, billing and tax address information.
Editorial Interaction: Letters to the editor, comments on articles, participation in surveys, or registration for Newsoras webinars and events.
Direct Contact: Information provided when contacting our reader service or technical support.
2.2. Information collected automatically (Navigation and Telemetry). Our systems automatically record certain technical metadata when you browse newsoras.com. This data is necessary for content delivery and site security.
Server Logs: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referral URL, date/time of access, and volume of data transferred. These logs are rotationally deleted or anonymized (e.g., every 30 days) except in the event of a security incident.
Usage and Preference Data: Articles read, time spent, display settings (dark/light mode), and cookie consent preferences.
2.3. Third-Party Information and Public Sources.
Social Media Platforms: If you use social login (e.g., "Sign in with Google"), we receive basic profile data (name, email, photo) according to your privacy settings on that platform.
Public Access Sources: In the exercise of journalism, we collect data from public records, official gazettes, and other unrestricted sources for news reporting, under the press exception.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing.
The processing of your data is always carried out under a legitimate legal basis established in Law 25.326 and compatible international standards (GDPR).
Processing Purpose and Primary Legal Basis: Service Provision: Contractual Performance (Art. 5), delivery of news, newsletters, account management, and payment processing. Security and Operations: Legitimate Interest, protection against cyberattacks (DDoS), fraud, and maintenance of technical infrastructure. Editorial Improvement: Legitimate Interest, analysis of audience metrics to adapt the editorial agenda to reader interests (Data Journalism). Personalized Advertising: Consent (Art. 5), sending offers and personalizing advertisements (requires explicit approval via cookies). Journalistic Activity: Freedom of the Press (Art. 1), research, writing, and publication of news of public interest, protecting the secrecy of sources.
Note on Journalistic Activity: In accordance with Article 1 of Law 25.326, data protection regulations shall not apply in a manner that hinders freedom of the press or the secrecy of journalistic sources. Newsoras maintains historical news archives that are not subject to arbitrary deletion, guaranteeing the integrity of historical memory.
4. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Transparency.
At Newsoras, we adopt technological innovation with ethical responsibility. The use of AI systems in our newsroom is governed by the following transparency principles.
Human Oversight (Human-in-the-Loop): Every news article, analysis, or editorial published by Newsoras is reviewed and approved by human editors. We do not use AI for the autonomous generation of sensitive news without supervision.
Content Labeling: If content (text, image, or summary) has been significantly generated by AI, it will be clearly indicated through a visible notice to the reader.
No Training with Private Data: Newsoras does not share the personal data of its subscribers or the confidential information of its sources with AI model providers for the training of such models, except with explicit consent or business privacy agreements guaranteeing data isolation.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies.
We use first-party and third-party cookies for technical, analytical, and advertising functionalities.
Consent Management: Upon first visit, you are presented with a configuration panel where you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can modify this preference at any time from the "Privacy Settings" link in the footer.
'Do Not Track' Signals: Our systems are configured to respect 'Do Not Track' (DNT) and 'Global Privacy Control' (GPC) signals from modern browsers.
6. Sharing and International Data Transfer.
Newsoras does not sell your personal data. Data sharing is strictly limited to technical service providers (cloud hosting, payment gateways, email delivery), who operate under contract, following our instructions and with confidentiality obligations.
International Transfers: Some of our technology providers may reside outside Argentina. In such cases, we guarantee that the transfer complies with Law 25.326, either because the destination country has an adequate level of protection (e.g., EU, Uruguay) or through the signing of Model Contractual Clauses approved by the AAIP, ensuring that your rights travel with your data.
Judicial Requirement: We will only disclose data upon a formal and valid court order from a competent authority, following legal analysis to protect the confidentiality of our journalistic sources and the privacy of our users.
7. Data Security.
We apply physical, electronic, and procedural security measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2/1.3) and at rest, multi-factor authentication (MFA) for administrative access to our systems, constant monitoring of vulnerabilities and access logs, and incident response protocols to mitigate and notify any potential security breach.
8. Your Rights (ARCO) and Procedure for Exercising Them.
As the data subject, Argentine legislation guarantees you the rights of Access, Rectification, Update, and Deletion. At Newsoras, we facilitate the exercise of these rights.
Right of Access: You can request to know what data we have about you, its origin, and purpose. We will respond within a maximum period of 10 calendar days.
Right of Rectification/Update: You can request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right of Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You can request the deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary. We will respond to rectification or deletion requests within 5 business days. Note: Deletion may be limited if there is a legal obligation to retain data or if it affects the exercise of freedom of the press regarding matters of public interest.
Exercise Channel: To exercise these rights, send an email to privacidad@newsoras.com attaching a digital copy of your identification document (to verify your ownership) and detailing your request. The procedure is free of charge (subject to the frequency limitations of Article 14, paragraph 3 of Law 25.326).
9. Minors.
Newsoras does not direct its services to children under 13 years of age nor consciously collect their data. If you are a parent or guardian and detect that a minor under your care has provided us with data, contact us immediately to proceed with its deletion.
10. Contact Information and Supervisory Authority.
If you believe we have not satisfied your request or that your rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint with the Supervisory Authority: Public Information Access Agency (AAIP).
